THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON HOUSEWIFE BRAND IS A COLLECTION OF STATE PRIDE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE ACCESSORIES AND TEE SHIRTS FOR MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

Martha Latta is the creator and printer of the Sunday Afternoon Housewife brand, of a collection of state pride and social justice tee shirts and accessories for men, women and children. Martha created this original line in 2009 to give the residents of the East Side of Indianapolis a way to show their pride for where they live. She is proud to continue to be designing and printing by hand in her Near East Side home. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 Nuvo readers voted her #1 best local artisan/ maker for gifts and #1 best local apparel line. Martha also owns and operates the Handmade Promenade Holiday Pop-Up Shop. Since 2011 Martha has curated the shop which has been located in various vacant, underutilized or unique spaces along Mass Ave and in Downtown Indianapolis. The pop up shop hosts a variety of artists during the holiday season and connects those who make handmade goods in Central Indiana with those who choose to shop local during the holiday season. In 2015 Martha also took over the production and distribution of the Naplab Neighborhoods of Indianapolis Map. In Late 2019, Martha will be opening a new retail store and studio in her Windsor Park neighborhood.

In addition to Sunday Afternoon Housewife, Handmade Promenade and NapLab’s Neighborhoods of Indianapolis Map, Martha has also participated in events such as panel discussions for St’Art Up 317 hosted by Pattern and Develop Indy (March 2018), as well as at Ruckus Makers Space’s Workshop Series “Art Markets & Craft Fairs,” (January 2019), “Mapping Indianapolis” at the Indiana Historical Society (February 2019) and Yelp Indy’s “Females of Fashion” at the Indiana State Museum (March 2019).
